Connect your WhatsApp number so automatic messages reach guests, and know what to do when the connection drops.
Without WhatsApp connected, the automatic messages you configured only go out by email. Connecting is the missing step for guests to receive confirmations, check-in reminders and instructions on the channel they actually reply to.
The number is yours. The conversation happens in your WhatsApp, and the guest sees your contact.
WhatsApp is available from the Starter plan up. If your account does not have access yet, the screen shows what the integration does and where to see the plans.
1. Go to Settings → WhatsApp.
2. Click Connect WhatsApp.
3. Wait for the QR code to appear.
4. Open WhatsApp on your phone.
5. Go to Linked devices → Link a device.
6. Scan the QR with the phone camera.
The QR refreshes automatically every 15 seconds. If it has not appeared yet, wait a few seconds — the session is starting.
The screen shows the connection state:
Once connected, use Send test message. Enter one of your own numbers and send.
That confirms WhatsApp is working before you wait on the first automatic schedule — which may take days to happen.
WhatsApp sessions do drop: a phone off for too long, a new handset, a session ended inside WhatsApp itself. The screen offers three buttons, and it is worth knowing what each does:
If a server error appears, the message says the WhatsApp service could not be reached. In that case generating a QR will not help: wait a few minutes and try again.
Messages that relied on WhatsApp are not delivered on that channel. If the message also had the email channel ticked, it still arrives by email.
That is why it is worth ticking both channels on important messages. See how to send an automatic message right after a booking.

Set up, in Automations → Post-booking, the message guests receive as soon as a booking is created — by email, WhatsApp or both.
