Active and archived properties

Understand the difference between the Active and Archived tabs, what happens when you archive a property and how to bring it back.

Two tabs, one working list

Under Settings → Properties, the list is split into two tabs:

  • Active — the properties that are part of your operation today.
  • Archived — the ones you have taken out of circulation, whose history is still kept.
  • Beside each tab name there is a counter. It shows how many properties are in each state, even while you are looking at only one of the lists.

    There is deliberately no "All" tab: the list you work with day to day is the active one, and mixing the archived ones in would only create noise.

    What happens when you archive

    When you click the archive icon (the bin beside the property), you get a confirmation before anything happens. After confirming:

  • the property leaves your public site;
  • it stops accepting new bookings;
  • it leaves the active list and appears under Archived, with an Archived badge beside its name.
  • Archiving deletes nothing. Past bookings, financial entries and reports for that property continue to exist and can be consulted as usual.

    Right after archiving, a notice appears with a View archived shortcut — useful for confirming the property went where you expected.

    How to reactivate

    1. Go to Settings → Properties.

    2. Open the Archived tab.

    3. Find the property and click the reactivate icon (the green circular arrow).

    4. Confirm.

    The property returns to the Active tab and appears again in internal selections — bookings, calendar, finances. If you also want it back on the public site, check its publishing settings.

    The badges in the list

    Beside the name and in each property's information you may see:

  • Archived — the property is out of circulation.
  • Direct payment — payment for this property is received directly by the owner, not through the online payment options. On smaller screens the badge shows as an icon only; tap it to read the description. See how to set up direct payment.
  • The rental type (whole property or by room) and the property's usage type.
  • Your plan limit

    Only active properties count towards your plan limit. Archiving a property you no longer use frees up space to register another.

    Tips

  • Archive rather than trying to delete: you preserve the history and keep the reports coherent.
  • Before archiving, check there are no confirmed future bookings on that property.
  • If a property disappeared from your list, check the Archived tab before registering it again — re-registering creates a second property and splits the history in two.
  • Frequently asked questions

    Does archiving delete the bookings?

    No. Nothing is deleted. The property simply stops appearing on the public site and stops accepting new bookings.

    Can I archive a property with future bookings?

    You can, but the confirmed bookings continue to exist. Agree it with the guests before taking the property out of circulation.

    Does an archived property still appear in reports?

    Yes. The periods in which it operated continue to be counted in that period's reports.
