Set the age at which someone becomes a child and the age at which they become an adult. It is what the guest reads when picking who is staying.

What the guest sees

On the public link, when picking who is staying, the guest sees three rows with the age range of each one:

Adults — 13 years or older

Children — 2 to 12 years

Infants — Under 2 years

Those are the default brackets. Every property starts that way.

How to change them

1. Go to Settings → Properties and edit the property.

2. Find the Guest age brackets block, just below the guests, bedrooms and bathrooms fields.

3. Fill in Child from (years) and Adult from (years).

4. Check the preview sentence, which shows the three rows exactly as the guest will read them.

5. Save.

You can fill in only one of the two fields. Whatever is left blank uses the default: child from 2, adult from 13.

Example. Filling only Child from 5 and leaving adult blank, the guest now sees Adults 13 years or older, Children 5 to 12 years, Infants under 5 years.

When the combination does not work

The adult age has to be greater than the child age. If it is not, the screen shows an error and does not save — and it names the number that came from the default.

Example. Child from 15, adult blank: adult is 13 by default, so no age is left for the child bracket. The screen refuses and explains.

The consequence that changes the price

An infant does not take a capacity slot and does not count towards the included amount. So raising the minimum child age turns the youngest guests into infants — and they stop taking slots and stop paying the surcharge.

Full example. A house with capacity 15, 15 included, 50 per extra person. A family arrives with 13 adults, two 3-year-olds and one 8-year-old.

With the default brackets (child from 2): all three children count. That is 16 people, above the capacity of 15 — the link refuses the booking.

With child from 5: the two 3-year-olds become infants. 14 people count — the booking goes through, with no surcharge.

When you save a child age higher than the one already stored, the screen warns you about exactly this before you confirm.

What does not exist

The age bracket belongs to the property, not to each room: the public link's counter is a single one per booking, before the guest picks a room.

The system does not ask each guest's age: it counts how many adults, children and infants the guest declared. The ages are there so the guest knows which row each person goes in.

Changing the brackets does not affect bookings already confirmed.
