Create discount codes for guests to enter at checkout, with validity dates and usage limits.
A voucher is a discount code the guest types when completing a booking on your link.
Unlike the length-of-stay discount, which is automatic, a voucher only works for whoever has the code. It is the right tool for campaigns, partnerships and for bringing back guests who have stayed before.
Go to Settings → Vouchers. From there you open the Coupon Manager, the dedicated page to create, edit and monitor coupons.
At checkout a field appears: "Have a discount coupon?". They type the code and click Apply.
There is a special use of vouchers that does not depend on you handing a code to anyone: the Re-engagement with voucher automation.
It goes out a few days after check-out, only to guests with no future bookings, with an incentive to return. In that automation you set the benefit type, the value, how many days the voucher lasts and, optionally, the code — leave it blank and the system generates a unique one.
The Automations panel shows how many vouchers were sent and how many were used, which is the only honest way to know whether the campaign worked.
Neither cancels the other, and both stay distinguishable in reports. See progressive length-of-stay discounts.
You partner with a local restaurant and create the coupon PARTNER10: 10% off, valid for 90 days, limited to 50 uses, applicable to both properties.
The restaurant hands out the code. On every booking closed with it, the discount applies on its own and the usage counter advances. Once it reaches 50, the code stops working.
